
Amphawa is the second most popular floating market near Bangkok. Being in Bangkok, we visited this lovely floating market where we can shop till we drop as well as eat till we drop as well in one place. Located 50 km from Bangkok, this place is indeed a place to go for if you are looking for nice seafood. Amphawa Floating Market is a weekend, evening and afternoon market. It’s officially open Friday Saturday and Sunday and official Thailand holidays, at 12.00 a.m. – 09.00 p.m





One of the highlights is of course the seafood served to you on the wooden boat. Well, you will be amazed how those sellers preparing the awesome dishes on the boat and served to you. The main attraction is of course enjoying the appetizing seafood served which includes grilled fish, prawns, mussels, squids and many more.





You can walk about around 2-3 hours around the market where they have loads of different offerings from their local delights, unique food as well as souvenirs as well. You can also have these range of really unique looking Thai deserts which will definitely order more as well.

And you can go for a boatride in the afternoon where you can have the view of the city along the Mekong River. Else you can opt for another options which is at night and perhaps you get a chance to watch fireflies. The boat river takes you around an hour ride.
